Tourism surges for Songkran

Thailand has welcomed around 10.7 million international tourists so far this year, with a surge of more than 666,000 people visiting during the Songkran festival alone, the government said on Tuesday.

The Minister of Tourism and Sports revealed that the 3-day Songkran Festival was a success, exceeding the target. He is confident that the spending figures will be higher than expected by the end of April.
