OCCITANIE, FRANCE, JUL 17 – Pogacar won Stage 13, a 10.9km mountain time trial, extending his lead by 2 minutes 10 seconds over Vingegaard in a decisive Pyrenees test, race officials said.
- On Friday, Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar dominated an uphill time trial at the 2025 Tour de France, held during Stage 13 in the Pyrenees.
- Pogačar reclaimed the yellow jersey after previously crashing on Wednesday and overcoming strong rivalry from Jonas Vingegaard, who could not keep pace.
- He completed the 180.6-kilometer course in 4 hours, 21 minutes and 19 seconds, finishing the 8-kilometer climb to Peyragudes with a 36-second lead over Vingegaard.
- Pogačar said, "So far, so good," acknowledging the long race ahead, while Vingegaard called yesterday his worst and today his best performance.
- Pogačar extended his lead in the overall standings to more than four minutes, solidifying his position as the top contender to claim the leader’s jersey by the time the event concludes in Paris on July 27.
