A 31-year-old agent was arrested for possession of firearms with intent, blackmail, and threats against Tottenham's Destiny Udogie and a friend, police said.

- Police say they were called at 11.14pm on Saturday September 6 to Cockfosters Parade, Barnet, after reports a man in his 20s was threatened with a firearm and another man was allegedly blackmailed.
- The player involved is Destiny Udogie, a 22-year-old Italy international who started in Tottenham's 4-0 Champions League win over FC Copenhagen on Tuesday night.
- Authorities arrested a 31-year-old man on Monday, September 8 on suspicion of possession of firearms with intent, blackmail and driving without a licence; police said the suspect has been bailed while enquiries continue.
- Given legal sensitivities, the club said a Spurs spokesperson told reporters `Given this is a legal matter, we cannot comment any further,` and the Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation while at the time Udogie could not legally be identified.
