The municipal council elections in Oldebroek have caused a local earthquake. Christelijk Verbond Oldebroek (CVO), Tom de Nooijer's party, has become the largest party by a wide margin. The party secured no fewer than 7 seats, four more than four years ago. This makes CVO nearly twice as large as the number 2, the ChristenUnie. The VVD is disappearing from the Oldebroek council.
