In the east, the Időkép heat map showed values close to 30 degrees. They write that on Wednesday it was already 25 degrees, which marked the first summer day of the year, and on Thursday there was the first hot day with 30 degrees. With this, a nearly 80-year-old heat record was broken: according to preliminary data from HungaroMet, the air in Mezőkovácsháza warmed up to 30.6 degrees.
