TO THE CONCLAVE/19 Baselios Cleemis: the Indian Cardinal of the Syro-Malankaresi

In the century Isaac Thottunkal, chose as bishop the name of Clement of Alexandria. Major Archbishop since 2007, created cardinal by Benedict XVI, is the first cardinal of this Eastern Rite Church that its seat in Trivandrum in Kerala. In his ministry he closely followed the communities of the diaspora, but he also promoted in India numerous social works. He was president of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India.
