Right to Life in 'Critical' State Amid Conflicts, Service Collapse, and Humanitarian Crises: Rights Commission
Addis Abeba -- Ethiopians right to life is in a "critical" state due to the combined effects of ongoing armed conflicts, natural disasters, and a near-total breakdown of public services, according to the latest annual report by the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC), released today.
On Monday, 4 August, the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission presented its annual report, the first under the leadership of Berhanu Adello, appointed last January by Parliament. In front of journalists and members of civil society, the new director listed the Commission's concerns.
