- On Sunday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu renewed the tenure of NTA Director-General Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos and NAN Managing Director Ali Mohammed Ali for another three-year term beginning October 20, 2026.
- Following their original appointment on October 20, 2023, the two executives will continue leading Nigeria's major media institutions through another three-year cycle under Tinubu's administration.
- Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos, from Yola, Adamawa State, joined NTA as an announcer at Kaduna Station after National Youth Service and rose through ranks as General Manager at NTA Lokoja and NTA Kano before retiring as acting Zonal Director at NTA Kaduna Network Centre.
- Ali Mohammed Ali brings over 30 years of journalism experience and holds degrees from Bayero University, Kano, in English and Mass Communications, plus a graduate degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in International Affairs.
- President Tinubu urged both executives to justify his confidence by demonstrating commitment to their organisations' mandates and advancing the government's Renewed Hope Agenda during their renewed tenure.
