- Mandated to drive a comprehensive system reset, the Presidential Taskforce will implement a "Performance Before Expansion" framework to reduce technical and collection losses while strengthening cost discipline and tariff integrity.
- Operating under a direct presidential mandate, the team will deliver a 90-day implementation blueprint to restore grid discipline and market integrity while coordinating activities among key government ministries and agencies.
- Additionally, Tinubu redesignated the Office of the Special Adviser as Special Adviser on Oil and Gas to clarify roles, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda to improve sector performance.
