- On January 10, 2026, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved Dr Olugbemisola Titilayo Odusote as Director-General of the Nigerian Law School for a four-year term, the first woman to lead since 1962.
- Dr Olugbemisola Titilayo Odusote joined the Nigerian Law School in 2001 and has served as head of academics; she earned an LL.B , was called to the Bar in 1988, and holds an LL.M.
- As Director-General, Odusote will oversee academic leadership, administrative management, and strategic direction across all campuses, having served as Deputy Director-General and Head of the Lagos Campus.
- The State House announced the appointment on Tuesday in a press release by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy; she will succeed Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma, whose tenure ends on January 9, 2026.
- At 54, Odusote brings international academic experience as a visiting scholar at Nottingham Trent University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey with research in public law and administration of justice.
