JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva said that it will not be possible to hold the Provincial Council elections this year as Rs. 5000 million had to be allocated for the Ditwa disaster. He pointed out that Ditwa came when the provincial council elections were being prepared by allocating funds from the budget and that since funds had to be allocated for it, it would not be possible to hold an election until the end of this year.
