On September 4, Liu Zhangsuo, former vice president of Zhengzhou University and former president of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, was officially announced to be under investigation. Since May 2025, three presidents of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University have been investigated: Liu Zhangsuo's predecessor Kan Quancheng, Liu Zhangsuo himself, and his successor Wang Chengzeng.
