Crew members at the Viana do Castelo Lifeguard Station assisted three people aboard a British-flagged sailboat this Thursday morning, which sustained rudder damage after an "interaction with killer whales." In a statement, the National Maritime Authority (AMN) said the incident occurred approximately nine nautical miles (approximately 16.7 kilometers) southwest of the Viana do Castelo harbor.
