Three in 10 holidaymakers think crisps taste better abroad
A 2,000-person poll found 39% of travellers enjoy crisps unavailable in the UK, prompting a pop-up with 4,600 bags and 68 flavours.
The new 'Crisps From Abroad' pop-up opened in Peter Street, Soho, featuring more than 4,600 bags and 68 flavours from 19 countries.
Research by OnePoll found 39 per cent of adults enjoy trying crisps unavailable at home, while 27 per cent love expanding their culinary horizons on holiday.
Three in 10 travellers admit they get 'weirdly excited' when visiting supermarkets abroad, with 57 per cent citing new flavours as the reason snacks taste better.
Passers-By and 'crisp superfan' Joe Manning are being challenged to identify mystery flavours at the pop-up, with Lays among popular varieties visitors seek to rediscover.
Murray, chief marketing officer, said the pop-up aims to "spark plenty of debate about which destination does crisps best," allowing travellers to relive holiday memories without travel.
