In addition to the Arganil fire, which began on Saturday and is in resolution, two new occurrences in the district of Coimbra worry the authorities. 348 firefighters fight the flames in Cantanhede and Tábua.
Three municipalities in the district of Coimbra – Arganil, Cantanhede and Tábua – mobilized at 16:00 more than 700 operational with 15 aerial means, according to the ‘Civil Protection website.
Cantanhede and Tábua concentrate 15 aerial means in the fight against the flames. In Arganil, the fire that started on Saturday is in resolution, but keeps hundreds of operatives on the ground.
A new fire broke out this Sunday afternoon in the town of Mouronho, in Tábua. Ten aircraft were deployed to the site.
Arganil, Cantanhede and Tábua are the municipalities affected by the flames.
