A verdict of conviction was handed down by the Temuco Oral Court in respect of three Carabineros officials accused of unlawful coercion committed in April 2021 against the Mapuche lonch, Alberto Curamil. Two other police officers were acquitted of this crime, while the Court also acquitted the five uniformed officers of the offence of obstruction of the investigation.
