26,000 consumers in more than ninety settlements in the Moscow region were left without electricity due to snowfall unusual for this time of year, Governor Andrei Vorobyov said on his Telegram channel on Friday.

Quite unusual weather conditions shook the population of Moscow, as a lot of snow fell, even though it was already May.

More than 26,000 residents in the Moscow region were left without electricity on Thursday night due to snowfall and strong winds – unusual phenomena for early May. The information was confirmed by the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobiov.

During the night of 2 May, snow fell on Moscow and Pomoskovje, which fell dozens of trees, caused congestion on roads and cut off power lines.
