Report: Suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material Found in Thomas Markle's Mexico Storage Unit
The Daily Mail said it found books, photos and video tapes in the unit and alerted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which opened a probe.
On Friday, The Daily Mail reported Thomas Markle, the Duchess of Sussex's estranged father, to the FBI after discovering sexually explicit material and child pornography in a storage unit he rented in Rosarito, Mexico.
These findings follow reports from last week that Thomas Markle Jr. alerted Philippine National Police to a separate stash of child sexual abuse images discovered at his father's former residence in Cebu City.
Inside the approximately 20 boxes, investigators uncovered VHS tapes, 35mm negatives, and books titled 'Hollywood Lolitas' and 'Forbidden Sexual Behavior and Morality,' containing themes of pedophilia and child exploitation.
Markle, currently in a Florida rehabilitation center, dismissed the allegations as 'sick lies,' while the Duchess of Sussex previously confirmed she severed contact to 'protect' her children, Archie and Lilibet.
If convicted, Markle could face 10 to 12 years in prison, though the FBI lacks jurisdiction in Mexico and some offenses may fall outside the five-year statute of limitations.
