This Western Pa. school district found a new way to address a shortage of substitute teachers

The Community Education Liaison program launched last school year at Trinity, a Washington County district of 3,300 students, welcoming 10 professionals from across the district’s four communities — Amwell, North Franklin, Canton and South Strabane townships — to serve as substitutes and bring real-world experiences to the classroom.
