The prison guard who was arrested along with Mário Machado and Rui Fonseca e Castro was sentenced in 2022 to six months in prison for possession of a prohibited weapon and will be suspended from office for 90 days.

Disciplinary proceedings were “opened following information transmitted by the criminal police agency (OPC) /MP, since profiling a certain ideology, outside the professional context, is not in itself a matter susceptible to disciplinary proceedings”
