A dense storm covering a large part of Iran's west has determined the authorities to close local schools and ask about 13 million residents to stay at home, according to state television, to inform the AFP.

Heavy Sandstorm affects millions of people in Iran
On Tuesday, a heavy sandstorm caused parts of Iran to disappear under a thick dust bell. In the western provinces of Chusestan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Kurdistan, schools and offices remained closed, as reported by Iranian state television. Also, the provinces of Sandshan and Buschehr were affected by the dust clouds coming from neighbouring Iraq. About 13 million people were advised to stay at home for safety reasons.
