- The Kremlin denied the allegations, calling the report "fake news," while the White House referred comments to the CIA, which declined to respond alongside the Russian Defense Ministry and Saudi government.
- Daniel Hoffman, a former CIA station chief, said Moscow and Tehran "share an interest in trying to reduce or eliminate U.S. influence altogether" through their strategic partnership targeting sensitive agency sites.
