Spanish island bans loudspeakers on beaches and imposes heavy fines

The island wants its beaches to become tranquil havens again, reducing noise, air pollution and rubbish

La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). The City of La Paz announced that it will seek to reduce noise emissions through an allowed decibel limit. They noted that, fines will be applied for failing to comply with these parameters can reach up to 275 UMA’s, equivalent to 31,115.50 pesos, depending on the type and severity of the violation.
