Controversy over Hungarian surveillance report that found Samsung SDI's battery production plant in Göd, Hungary, had lax safety management, with carcinogens detected at levels exceeding 510 times the standard, raising suspicions that Samsung neglected and covered up the situation.
In the spring of 2023, a secret service report was presented to ministers, stating that much more serious poisonings had occurred at the Samsung plant in Göd than previously known. There was a worker who was exposed to a carcinogenic chemical that exceeded the limit by 510 times. At the government meeting, several ministers, including Antal Rogán, argued for the suspension of the factory's operations.
