On January 9, 2026, it began the compulsory registration of telephone lines, provided for in the amendment to the Law on Telecommunications and Broadcasting approved in June 2025. This law orders mobile telephone operators (such as Telcel, AT&T, among others) to link the telephone line of users with their Single Population Registration Key (CURP). If not by June 28, 2026, the company will disable the service.
