The measure was officially confirmed by Regulation 690/2026, published in this Monday's Bulletin. The ban covers "squishy" or "squeeze toy" type items and is based on complaints about the possible presence of chemicals dangerous to health.
The decision, published in the Official Gazette, also orders the withdrawal of the market and the destruction of the stock existing in the country.

The measure reaches “squeeze toy or squishy” type toys made of soft plastic polymer. The products must be removed and destroyed or discarded safely and immediately. The news banned nationwide the sale of a popular children’s toy for health risks was first published in Sin Mordaza.
Through a provision published in the Official Gazette, the import, manufacture, marketing and storage of these soft toys was prohibited throughout the country.
