Dozens of bank branches will be closed in Michigan as consolidation steps continue in the Fifth Third Bank's purchase of Comerica Bank.

Fifty-five of the branches being closed are former Comerica buildings, with the rest being Comerica branches. The company expects to run 227 branches in total across the state.
