Contests on the front of al-Barah, west of the city of Taiz (ANSA)
The fiercest fighting on the Red Sea coast took place primarily in two districts, Al-Barah and Maqbanah, and clashes continued throughout the night. According to the head of operations at the Al Nasr Brigades, Yemeni government forces, backed by the Saudi-led coalition, lost several areas west of Taiz, and the Houthi Ansar Allah movement gained control of some of the area.
According to a military source loyal to the Yemeni Government, on Thursday, government forces recovered most of the Houthi-controlled positions during the first hours of a massive attack that lasted about 15 hours in the West Ta'izz and West Coast fronts, confirming that dozens of dead, wounded and captives had fallen among the Houthi ranks.
Fierce clashes are taking place between Yemeni armed forces and Iran-backed Houthis in the southwestern city of Taiz.
