The prime ministers of the Visegrad Four met in the Hungarian city of Gödöllő, about thirty kilometers east of Budapest, on Tuesday and announced a strengthening of this Central European cooperation. “The V4 is back,” said the host country’s Prime Minister Péter Magyar, for whom it was the first Visegrad Four summit.

The prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia have agreed to strengthen cooperation within the Visegrád Group (V4), Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced on Tuesday after a meeting with his counterparts Andrej Babiš, Donald Tusk and Robert Fico at the Gödöllő Castle near Budapest.
The V4 prime ministers agreed to closer cooperation in Hungary. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that all four countries have points of contact on key issues.
The Central European high-speed rail plan and joint action against migration were also on the agenda at the Visegrád Four (V4) summit, where Péter Magyar discussed strengthening the alliance with his Czech, Slovak and Polish counterparts. In addition to the issues of the EU budget and competitiveness, the prime ministers agreed that the region must appear as a united, strong voice in European decision-making.
