Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow and All Russia appealed to the faithful not to pray for a salary increase, an improvement in their financial situation, or a career advancement. "One should not pray for something that is simply inappropriate. Heaven does not respond to such requests," he said.
Believers should not pray for higher wages, career growth and improved material well-being. This was stated by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in a sermon on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
