The Prosecutor's Office in Lorient announced on Wednesday the opening of a new judicial investigation into former surgeon Joël Le Scouarnec. Fifty incidents, including ten rapes, are being examined and concern 48 victims.
Already convicted of 299 rapes and sexual assaults, the ex 75-year-old surgeon faces new charges revealed on Wednesday 19 August by the Lorient Public Prosecutor's Office.
The Lorient prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday new charges against the former surgeon, who was already convicted in May 2025 for nearly 300 rapes and sexual assaults.
