The Government of the Russian Federation is discussing the possible implementation of a project to build the Trans-Altai Railway, a railway entrance to China, through a 55-km stretch between Kazakhstan and Mongolia, where Altai is directly bordering the Xinjiang-Uighur Autonomous Region of the PRC, writes the newspaper Kommersant on Tuesday.
The Russian authorities are studying the Transaltai Railway project, which can directly link Siberia to China via Altai, one option being to reach the Chinese border on a 55-kilometre length, as reported by the newspaper Commersant.
