The government is not resting even during the long weekend due to the national holiday, one of the most important issues remains the water level of the Danube and the restart of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant. According to Prime Minister Péter Magyar's previous statement, the shut-down turbines will start to be switched back on at midnight on Sunday at the latest, and a complete shutdown has already been prevented.
Work has resumed at the Paks Nuclear Power Plant: hundreds of specialists are working to get the facility back to full capacity. According to the government, the previously shut down turbines can be gradually restarted from Sunday.
The water level in the Budapest and Komárom areas has already risen significantly compared to Wednesday.
