[Opinion] SCM, negative opinion on the modification of service pensions for magistrates

The Supreme Council of the Romanian Supreme Court rejected the project that would have changed the service pensions of magistrates. The magistrates say that the Government's excuse regarding the fulfillment of the conditions through the PNRR is not valid. Matilde Maltez de Almeida, appointed after deliberation by the Superior Council for the Judicial Judiciary, had been a Supreme Court Counselor Judge since 2012.

Meeting in plenary on Tuesday, April 15, the Superior Council of Magistracy gave a negative opinion on the legislative proposal related to the modification of service pensions, known as "special pensions".
