The five-storey, pastel pink building was once the former headquarters of the German bank’s operations in Russia and the rest of Eurasia. So it was until the spring of 2024, when a St. Petersburg court froze the assets and shares of the Russian branch of Commerzbank as part of a sentence of almost 100 million euros.
