Minister of Labor and Social Security, Mr. Vedat Işıkhan, indicated that new regulations could be considered in the public personnel system to meet changing needs. Işıkhan stated that they would work in consultation with trade unions to create a stronger structure while protecting existing gains.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced at the Public Personnel Advisory Board meeting that the regulations to be made in the public personnel system will be shaped by taking into account the views of social partners. Işıkhan stated that the unionization rate in the public sector has increased from 47 percent to 78 percent.
The Public Personnel Advisory Board, chaired by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, met to evaluate issues requiring regulation within the public personnel system. Representatives from trade unions and public institutions attended the meeting.
