Nearly 800 doctors from outside the European Union will lose their license to practice. This information was obtained by an RMF FM journalist from the Supreme Medical Chamber. This is a result of the president's veto on Thursday of a bill that would extend the period in which doctors can obtain a B1-level certificate of Polish language proficiency. Those who do not possess the certificate are barred from treating patients.
Karol Nawrocki vetoed a regulation that would have extended the deadline for non-EU doctors to submit a B1-level Polish language certificate by one year. As of May 1st, regional medical chambers have revoked the licenses of 441 doctors who failed to submit such a certificate, "Rzeczpospolita" has learned.
