The Lynx Reaches 2,400 Copies in 2024, 19% More than the Previous Year
The population of Iberian lynx (Lynx Pardinus) adds another year of growth: it has reached 2,401 specimens in 2024 – 1,557 adults and subadults and 844 puppies – with an increase of 19% compared to the previous year, indicates the latest census. The number of breeding females rose to 470, 64 more than in 2023, a figure that is approaching 750, which are considered essential for the species to reach a favorable state of conservation.
