The Planned Economy Led to State Bankruptcy. But It Was Not an Invention of the Communists

There was a consensus among the parties of the National Front that some form of planned economy would be adopted in post-war Czechoslovakia. Even during the war, members of the domestic and foreign non-communist resistance agreed on this. The belief that the invisible hand of the market did not work and that the economy had to be managed was a consequence of the Great Depression, which the market without attributes could not cope with.
