Not only is the Hungarian economy's present bleak, its past has also become worse than we knew before

The Hungarian Central Statistical Office has revised its GDP figures for several quarters over the past three years, typically downwards.

The 0.4 percent quarterly GDP decline doesn't even include the impact of Donald Trump's import tariffs. Meanwhile, Europe is doing quite well.

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) has significantly revised previous GDP data, which overall paints a less favorable picture of the performance of the Hungarian economy.
