The Oath of Office for Recruits

“I swear to stand firmly on the guard of Georgia and fight for victory over the enemy until the last moment of my life,” – with these words, the conscripts pledged to honestly pay their debt to Georgia. In addition to Freedom Square, the recruits swore allegiance to Georgia in five other historical places – in Nokalakevi, near the Geguti Palace, Samtavisi Cathedral, the Vedjin Ascension Monastery and Mount Elias.
