The 97th Senbatsu High School Baseball Tournament will open on the 18th at Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, and will run for 13 days (including rest days). Thirty-two schools, including the previous champion Kendai Takasaki (Gunma), Yokohama (Kanagawa), which won the Meiji Jingu Tournament last fall, and Toyo University Himeji (Hyogo), winners of the Kinki Tournament, will compete for the top spot.
