The National High Court has rejected the petition of the Association Victims of Terrorism (AVT) to ban the demonstration that has already been held this Friday in Bilbao to request "the return of prisoners, exiles and deportees" of ETA. AVT believed that this march would seek to exalt terrorism and humiliate the victims.
The judge concludes that this is a "expression of opinions" protected by freedom of expression and sees insufficient evidence to suspend it.
A thousand people took part this Friday, Big Day of the Bilbao holidays, in the demonstration in support of ETA prisoners called by the association Sare and the comparsas of the capital of Biscay.
