Transparency Act and Constitutional Judges – Parliament Is in Session

The National Assembly is looking forward to a busy day, we present the proposals submitted for discussion and adoption.

The chairman of the Tisza Party told Magyar Infón that Fidesz has crossed another red line with the transparency law. The politician also promises moral or even financial compensation to the victims of the National Cooperation System (NER).

The proposal was met with severe criticism, saying it would actually make it impossible for civilians and the press to function.

According to members of the body responsible for monitoring Hungary, which deals primarily with human rights issues, the adoption of the law would make it impossible not only for civil society organizations and independent media to operate, but also for their mere existence.

The National Assembly was called out from Strasbourg regarding the draft transparency law - The authors of the report believe that there is no guarantee against arbitrary application.
