The turbulence surrounding Stegra is causing concern in Boden. “As long as the steel mill is not completed, I will continue to be concerned,” says municipal councilor Béatrice Öman (S). At the same time, the opposition is critical of the municipality’s allowing the debt mountain to grow, partly due to the establishment of the green steel plant.
The steel company Stegra needs new billions and co-founder Harald Mix is leaving his post as chairman.
