Netflix Shares Trailer for Peter Berg’s WWII Drama The Mosquito Bowl
The World War II drama follows four college football stars who enlist after Pearl Harbor and builds to the real Mosquito Bowl game.

- Based on Pulitzer Prize-winning author Buzz Bissinger's nonfiction book, the story centers on John McLaughry, Bob Baumann, Tony Butkovich, and David Schreiner. The four college stars set their fame aside to enlist in the Marines following the attack on Pearl Harbor.
- Filmed in Australia, the production shot across Queensland and northern New South Wales, with locations doubling for Marine training grounds and the Pacific Theater. The cast performed much of the action themselves, recalling explosives detonating only feet away during filming.
- "The Mosquito Bowl" will open in select AMC theaters on October 30 before arriving on Netflix on November 25. The release marks the first Netflix-AMC partnership since "KPop Demon Hunters."
