Rescue teams from Árborg and Reykjavík were called out along with a Coast Guard helicopter in search of two hikers on Hellisheiði. The hikers were with a third man who was waiting in the car for their companions, but when they had not returned after a good while, the man who was waiting called 112 and requested assistance.
