- Organizers chose `Harmony` as the concept for the Opening Ceremony to represent the urban-mountain duality amid global tensions as Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo co-host next year.
- A spiral-shaped LED stage will transform the pitch with four ramps, and the Parade of Nations will run in San Siro and the mountain venues of Predazzo, Livigno, and Cortina, organizers said.
- Organizers expect the Opening Ceremony to draw between 2 billion and 2.5 billion viewers and include a tribute to Giorgio Armani, who died last month at age 91; it will be one of San Siro stadium's final major events before demolition.
- The Paralympics follow from March 6-15, with athletes from Anterselva, Cortina, Bormio and Livigno joining nearby parades, organizers said.
