The traditional papamobile ride among the 50,000 faithful gathered at the Gran Canaria stadium was preceded by a greeting to those who could not fit in it and were waiting for Leo XIV outside, who could follow the Liturgy on a large screen.
The Pope celebrated the afternoon of Thursday, June 11, the first Mass in the Canary Islands, in the Estadio de Gran Canaria, in the city of Las Palmas, during the third stage of his trip to Spain. From there he called for building a society reconciled in love, where charity promotes the dignity and integral development of each person. And he invited “to spread seeds of hope on the path of humanity towards a better future”.
