- The Linda Lindas announced their third album, Gotta Get Out, releasing Aug. 28 via Reprise Records, and shared the new single Closer featuring Hayley Williams.
- Following 2024's No Obligation and 2022's Growing Up, this marks the group's first project since signing to Reprise Records from Epitaph earlier this year.
- Bela Salazar and Lucia de la Garza said Closer is about "feeling like you're losing control of time, and watching yourself grow older from afar." Williams features on the chorus with Mila de la Garza and Salazar on the bridge.
- The band will perform at Tom Morello's Power to the People Festival in Columbia, Maryland, on 10/03, alongside fall dates supporting Bleachers.
